Are there any artists out there who suffer with fibromyalgia and or chronic myofascial pain syndrome or similar illness?  I was diagnosed with a severe case of both about 11 years ago.  I was wondering if there are any other artists here that deal with these or similar illnesses?  Learning to live and deal with this has been a big challenge, the process has gotten a little better but there are days when I cannot get into the studio at all.

For those who do not know what these illnesses are, in a nutshell one suffers from persistent pain throughout the body and this usually has a wide range of corresponding side effects i.e. insomnia, depression, chronic fatigue to name but a few.  Again, this is a very abbreviated description.

I was diagnosed with fibro about  8 or 9 years ago.  I was told the best remedy was exercise, which I find to be somewhat accurate.  Later I was also diagnosed with "indications" for rheumatoid arthritis, which you need to baby, and not exercise so much.  So I have to move but be careful not to overdue it, or I will know it for a loooong time after.  Bit of a conundrum, but so far I am doing great!  The fact that I am on a very strict diet has probably been a reason why I do so well.

Dear Friends:

I am a "Lightworker" and have been keeping my hand on the pulse of Mother Earth and her evolutionary process since 1995. I respect all people and their belief systems so the info I am going to give here is with that perspective in mind.

There are many dramatic changes going on with this planet currently and they are not  just social/environmental/spiritua/political, etc. Also the electromagnetic field of the earth is in great flux.   If you want more understanding on chronic pain conditions/autoimmune conditions please google: Ascension + physical symptoms,  and take it from there.  Currently this planet is undergoing an ASCENSION. This is a complication concept for many but us Lightworkers/Metaphysicians are well versed in this situation and aware of all the issues that come with it.  The physical symptoms/changes which are in unison with the Ascension are:  weight gain, autoimmune disorders, chronic fatigue syndrome, Fibromyalgia, MS, neurological diseases, insomnia, depression, mental health issues are magnified (feelings of hopelessness and suicidal ideation) and many who have never suffered from depression now know what it feels like.

On this website I frequent: www. LIGHTWORKERS.ORG there are many topics on ASCENSION PROCESS and PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS that accompany this topic.  Also check out: THE COSMIC WEATHER REPORT.  On YOUTUBE there is lots of stuff about the ASCENSION of MOTHER EARTH and it will explain much of what the current chaotic tone that we are all observing.

About 8 years ago my immune system completely shut down and I become almost bedridden. I got in touch with a MEDICAL INTUITIVE friend of mine who gave me a reading and said I had no energy left in my body and made suggestions for getting my health back. They were: BODYWORK, ACUPUNCTURE, CHINESE HERBS, NUTRITION, REST  and using this time to reflect on the psychological/physical factors that brought me to that space.  I learned from this experience that I was giving, giving, giving to people who just took, took, took and like a battery that reaches the end, (and can't recharge,) I had nothing left to give so my body was giving out.  I also was trying to receive love from others thru my giving when all I had to do was love and give to myself and stop concerning myself with others.  So, one of the messages with autoimmune disorders is SELF LOVE. I know this sounds all too simplistic but think about it: How do you feel about yourself? Are you hypercritical of yourself? When you look the mirror do you love what you see? This has nothing to do with appearance. There is a prevailing theme in our society of looking outside ourselves for love and validation.  I highly recommend the book by Louise Hay, "YOU CAN HEAL YOUR LIFE." You can get this super cheap on EBAY.

I am much better (almost back to 100%) and now I know how not to go back to that space of illness and chronic pain. I healed myself and you can too. The current allopathic medical system  (aka Modern Medicine) will not take into consideration the ENERGY/Metaphysical aspects of  the planet or these types of illnesses which currently are rising at epidemic rates. None of this is coincidence. We are evolving to a more holistic society and these illnesses can and will be healed by this type of medicine.

One last note: There are some folks out there (I call them Squids) who suck, squeeze and take whatever you have, (energy, time, peace of mind, joy, etc.) I'm sure you know what I am talking about. These people are DRAINING your life force on a energy level. You need to be hyper vigilent about who these folks are and either: a) avoid them b) protect yourself from them  c) figure out a way to deal with them without losing your health and peace in their drama, (One remedy GOOGLE: Psychic Self Defense).   Many times these are family members but they can be co-workers, so-called friends, neighbors, etc. You can't get well if you have people who are taking from you because of their own issues/insecurity.  No one has a right to take your energy - no one! They may be "unconscious" of this fact but they are conscious enough to know where to go to get a "energy fix."  People in the medical and helping/healing professions get especially burned out by these types and usually find ways of detaching themselves from them while still doing their job.

Whew! My wittle fingers are tired, have I said enough? Hope this helps.

Mimi

Wow, Mimi, I hadn't really heard of such a thing. I have heard of The physics issues that, if a person trains their brain to be a learning tool, to think of good things to keep the receptors in our brain active and Chinese herbal medicines. The physic theory is that when people do the good things that all things are connected, so good feelings are perpetuated, and like wise with the bad thoughts or habits. My wife is Chinese so I get more than my share of weird things to eat or drink. Most of them taste terrible but I have noticed some of them do make me more mobile. I drink frog fat in the winter, it helps to clear the lungs. I drink a tee made with some kind of tree bark that is like drinking pond scum and tastes worse but it helps my arthritis, makes me ore mobile, I can walk down the stairs in the morning with much less pain. My wife's brother in-law had a cist in his brain, the Chinese doctors give him the option to treat it with surgery or with herbal teas. He chose the tea and after nearly one year the cist is gone. The Chinese are experts at knowing what plants heal and what plants kill.

I know lots of people are not aware of the current electromagnetic/dimensional shift of the planet. I know this is probably really hard for some folks to understand and are might label it "woo woo" stuff. I honor all folks and their belief system.  The rise in these types of illnesses I mentioned is epidemic and most incidences can certainly be attributed to this great shift.

The new President is also a "lightworker" and while he might not know that is what he is, he is on the mission of the Lightworker.

The most recent that I have read regarding physical symptoms and navigating the ascension process is this: DRINK LOTS OF PURE WATER. EAT LIVE FOOD, (fresh as possible). PROTEIN uptake is a must right now to allow the body to process this energy. IF you must eat meat, chicken, etc, Make sure these animals are as pure as possible, (free range, free of antibiotics, allowed to roam. Farmed and cared for with as much love and care.)  Eat organic and local grown produce. Eat what is in season. Seeds, nuts, beans, rice have the most living giving energy as opposed to "dead foods," (i.e., processed, etc.) Edgar Cayce has a website with lots of holistic, easy, cheap remedies for the illnesses we have mentioned on this forum. I have practiced Cayce since my early 20's and have had 100% success with the remedies. He recommends massaging with a formula of oil called "Aura Glow" for arthritic and muscle pain. You can get this from a place called the Heritage Store online located in Virginia Beach Va. I have been using this product for over 30 years and it works.

Get out in nature and get some sunshine. The sun is not your enemy, it is a life giving force.  Ground your energy field. This can be done by being in nature, walking barefoot on the earth, walking near the ocean is a fantastic rejuvenator for energy field and clearing emotions. Swimming in the salty ocean is another quick healer. The salt from the ocean clears the auric field and allows the emotions to flow. Monitor your exposure to electromagnetic fields, (tv, computers, etc.). Be extremely selective in what you watch on TV. Make it light, make it positive.

there are emotional factors that come with these illnesses and getting in touch with the emotions is another biggie in healing.

Here is a Rx for a healing bath. This should be done right before bedtime.  It repairs the damage to one's energy field, get's the "Ca Ca" out from other folks and will generally give you a emotional clean slate. DO BEFORE BEDTIME.

1 part Baking Soda to 1 part SEA SALT. DO NOT USE THE IDODIZED SALT.  I make this bath strong so depending on the size of your tub, make it as strong as you can.  Run a bath, add the solution, get in the bath and submerge your whole body in the bath and dunk your head under the water a couple of times.  While in the bath do some conscious deep breathing and see the negative flowing out (on the "out" breath)of your body into the water.  On the "in" breath visualize a golden healing light filling your whole body.  This is an excellent bath for when you are stressed out or have been in stressful situations, around negative people, etc.

I know for some of you this "woo woo" talk is a bit much to take. I honor all perspectives. I am giving you a short cut to healing resulting from my illness and life experiences.  These remedies are cheap, they work on a authentic core level and they don't require a trip to a doctor. Your healing is literally in your hands.  Peace, healing and love to all in this new world that is coming our way.

Mjgharvey, yes I know what you are experiencing.  I am using nutrition, vitamin and herbal supplementation and exercise and it is working very effectively.  The “indications” you mentioned of rheumatoid arthritis I had as well but it was not R.A. FM seems to mimic those symptoms.  It sounds like you are on the right track!  Good luck.

My diagnosis was made after a blood test.  So while he said I had "titers" for it, it does not mean that you have it.  Apparently many people have a touch of it, but do not have the full blown disease.  I do get tendonitis very easily though, so I have to be careful with excersizing.   I like to go hard, but can't because of this tendency.

I think it's all the additives in food, the pesticides, and all the man made stuff in the air that is causing all this disease and allergies.  Just a theory but I think it is logical.

Yes Steven,  I've suffered a LOT the last 5 years... I've been tested and tested, MRI's, bonescans... They mentioned bursitis a couple years ago but it  never leaves me.  I know I have bone spurs growing in my spinal column.  Between my hip, back and neck ( office injury which caused disks to disinegrate)..I can barely move in the morning.... I literally have to HOLD my breath from the pain to get to the bathroom.  It eventually loosens up but sitting for  10 minutes makes me  have to go thru it again.  Can't sit, lay, sleep much... walking was helping but I think my hip joint is going... I don't know.. I have no insurance right now and I am not going back for MORE tests and no answers.  Anti inflammatories and muscle relaxants barely work anymore...but gives me enough relief to try to get out there.   Doing wedding photography is my livelihood...I'm trusting in the Lord to keep me going and He has!  I keep positive and don't dwell on it, however if I felt all the time like I do in the morning..  I just don't know how I would deal with it.   I wouldn't want to.  I believe from all I've read it is fibromyalsia.

I suffer from a problem which cracks my epidermis on fingers when they come into contact with paint / medium

Nowadays I have strated to wrap 3 fingers on each hand with Band Aid before i start my oil painting work. And before that I have to apply hand cream too. It does kill spontaiety to a huge extent.. but I have no choice. Yes, it DOES get me awfully depressed...and then I read all those Positive Mental Health books and try to cheer up. I am happy that at least I can paint a bit still...after my finger surgery in September, I couldnt even use my right hand untill 3 weeks back..

Then I have Raynaud's Syndrome which causes excruciating pain at finger tips...for which I am permanently on a pain killer...which in turn causes severe stomach pain..

I very much miss those years gone by...when I had good health

I just started a new group here at ArtBistro it’s called Artists and Ailments, here is an explanation of its goal and purpose.  If you or someone you know might benefit from this please pass the word.  Here is the link to it http://artbistro.monster.com/groups/1234-artists-and-ailments- ; just drop me a request and you’re in.

Artists and ailments is a support group for artists who suffer from Fibromyalgia (FM) chronic Myofascial pain syndrome (CMPS) and or chronic fatigue syndromes (CFS) or similar chronic conditions.  Our hope and goal is to help fellow artists cope with and even overcome these illnesses and physical challenges through the sharing of methods and offering helpful suggestions that were effective for us personally.  I am confident that with these tools we can significantly improve the quality of our lives. This group might also be helpful to those who have loved ones that are affected by these conditions.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, on top of severe arthritis (it developed in the last three years). Sometimes I think I am going coockoo because of the strange sudden pains I get and they disappear and appear somewhere else. Sometimes I get rashes or cannot wear certain types of fabrics so I have to have several options at hand whenever I am getting dressed. It has affected my entire life and my entire body. I still force myself to do things but sometimes all I want to do is sleep bu of course I fight because there is a whole lot of life out there. I also refuse to take all the pills that have been prescribed to me for the fibromyalgia.

Live every day as if it was your last day on earth.

Have a great day,

Patsy

That is great news about your sister Tracy!  I have not tried any of the new medications on the market though I have heard they do a good job for many.  I have always relied on natural supplements. 15 years ago the meds the Doctors prescribed were pretty crude with many side effects, good to hear they are finding things that work.

If you have bone spurs. you have arthritis, I know how you feel in the morning or after sitting for a while, it is extremely painful and discomforting; sometimes when I am in school sitting in class I wonder if I can even get up. I cannot go for walks on my own anymore because I fell one day do to my knee giving out on me, I lost my meniscus last year. I have also developed other auto immune diseases. They say fibromyalgia doesn't cause damage it is just pure pain, but what they don't tell you is that it is an auto immune disease and with it comes things like colitis and diverticulitis and arthritis and it tends to affect other organs though it doesn't destroy them like lupus can.

Live every day as if it was your last day on earth.

Have a great day,

Patsy
