Does anyone have advice about illustrating? I'm alright with the drawing, but my problem is proportion. I mean, I do understand that the fashion illustration is way off to normal proportions anyway. But even mine look just..... bleh. Anyone have any advice to help me out?

I have read that a you draw a fashion figure one head length taller than a regular person. This gives the body that extra willowy look that fashion strives for. Here is an interview I did with a fashion illustrator where she gives tips on how to draw fashion designs: http://drawing.suite101.com/article.cfm/how_to_draw_fashion_designs . Hope it helps. :)

If anyone of you more experienced fashion designers would like to do an interview with me for the site (it gets over 17 million page views a month) I'd be happy to talk with you. Hit me up with a PM.
