It's hard to find any graphic design jobs in this tough market, let alone an entry-level one! That's my problem. I graduated college last year with an A.A. degree. Now, I know a Bachelor's degree would be even better, but I no longer have the money to go to school. How can I get money for more schooling with no job? It's a viscious circle, all right. All I can do is hope the economy gets better soon, or I get lucky.

A  Bachelor's ain't going to help a whole lot either at this point; keep working on your portfolio...just don't sit still.

Agreed. Keep your skills sharp. Do pro-bono for a worthy cause. That can sometimes lead to paying work and at least you're helping.

Might be an idea to join your local community art group if you have not already. Could be a way of networking and might be design work you could do for the organization, although I avoid work on spec. I did go back to school over the years to pick up more training, but you probably got the grounding. Blakkwolfe gave good advice. You have to have a strong portfolio, publicity material, and do a lot of legwork. Might have to start out doing free lance work, and continue on in that direction. Graphic Design and Illustration has never been an easy market to break into.

Thanks for all your comments, guys! I just wanted to put in an update. The minister of my church asked me to design a logo for a church program a few weeks ago, and I accepted the offer. I realize I can't get paid for this, but even so he is my first real client, and I'm doing it not only for the experience, but also to get my work out in the public where it may be seen by others who may want my services, or could recommend me. Besides, it will add another nice piece to my portfolio!
