What do you hope to gain out of an art site?

Posted 5 months ago A simple question, in an artsite what do you hope to get out of it, contacts, artist tips do's and dont's, networking or just hanging out shooting the breeze? What is it that you hope to gain from it?

| Posted 5 months ago I have been checking out other art sites like artbreak.com and redbubble.com. and they seem to be more focused on art content. Redbubble.com has writing and art and is easy to format, and has no limit and you don't have to be a member to view the art work. It seems to be what this site has a potential to be, but I have noticed allot of discension in the ranks and complaints. So looking just these two how does this site measure up with them. Such as Nextcat.com. Very professional and not for the weak of heart. and again for written and visual art and friendly to the user. Here it seems like a constant debate over the little things when simple solutions are at hand and need only to be applied. this is just from the short time that I have been here. i am sure I will learn more as I continue to visit this site.
