How Does Music Influence Your Art?

Posted 5 months ago Hi my name is Bill Cormalis Jr. I grew up in a musical family and personally can play the guitar. I know we may listen to music, but how has music directly influenced your art? Is music your art? Obviously music can influence one to make music as thier art. If you draw, paint, assemble, construct, or just create in general, then how has music directly influenced your craft? Explain... For me personally, music has played a big part in influencing my work. In many of my artworks, be it a painting or a drawing, a song lyric may find its way to the surface. I have painted on a guitar, a painting of a guitar, Jimi, Clapton, Albert Collins, Muddy, and more. Growing up, my dad played the guitar, loved the blues, and rock music, therefore so did I. Music is the common bond between my father and I. Not every piece of art I make is music inspired, but I can guarantee that I have not done my last musically inspired artwork.
