Join the club. You probably wont find anyone handing out jobs here. Especially if the first thing you do when you get here is ask for work. There are a lot of people here that put a lot of time in here and establish themselves and friendships. You dont even have a potfolio up, just a link. Not trying to sound like a jerk, but I would not give work to someone who just blows through like a vagabond. Stick around and get to know some people around here, there are some amazing people here. Dont cheat yourself.

yeap...  we're ALL looking for work!!!  You'd be better off working up your page, making contacts and friends and then maybe something might come your way.  Don't count on it though.  This is more of a networking and commiserating site than a job board.

I totally agree with JHWarts and jimmi. I just signed up yesterday, and these 2 guys have been great and very welcoming. It looks like they've been here a long time, so I'd listen to what they have to say.

Perfect topic! I'm actually looking to have a couple "hired guns" who are available to do freelance work for me on an "as needed" basis. You can find out more about me at:

www.aboutimage.com

I can make no promises as to the quantity and frequency of work. I actually stopped doing graphic design & photography for a few years and just started again this year. Building the clientele back up to what it was is slow and tedious. But if you PM me your portfolio and your fee expectations, I'll keep you in mind. And what jimmimyers said is critical: you need a portfolio even if you're an art student looking to do free intern work (I might consider those, too).

What I need most: and experienced illustrator, and an experienced PHP/Javascript/Joomla guru.
