I have used it for all media, from watercolor to enamel and on all kinds of brushes, including expensive sable. I am impressed by the way it removed paint down to the barrel and can even remove hardened paint with several applications. I use a lot of liners and it helps to keep a good point on them. I have used my 2.5 ounce container for two years and still have more than 3/4 of the can left! It is available in arts and craft shops and on line.

Superb product. I use it to clean my oil painting brushes along with turpenoid natural. Both products can also help to recondition brushes.

I love this product, it makes brush cleaning a breeze. You can swirl your brush in it if you want to, or use your fingers to apply it. I've been using it for 14 years.

Wow... I don't know how Martyleo is able to keep his 2.4 oz jar for almost a year. I used mine up in two weeks cleaning the oil off my brushes. This is the fourth type of cleaner I've used and I'm sticking to it. I even bought the 24 oz bucket because I love it so much.

Used this in my classroom and saved many brushes from the trashcan.Students did not mind using this product for the caked brushes that they needed to clean after their use of them.

I haven't really used this product to clean my brushes, for that I use plain old Ivory soap. But I do use it when applying liquid frisket. Just wet your brush and swirl in the brush cleaner, leave it on the brush then dip the brush in the liquid frisket. It makes it so easy to then remove the excess frisket from the brush.

I have used this in my studio for years and it really does clean your brushes! it lathers very rich and smells great. I have also used it as a brush conditioner or to shape brushes. Through my own fault or sometimes in freight, brushes can get a few hairs askew which can lead to poor performance of said brush. If you wet the brush head, stroke it across the dry cake of the soap and get just enough on there to see, shape your brush- the soap will hold and reshape the hairs until you're ready to use it. Be sure to rinse before use. :)

this stuff is beautiful it its simplicity - no harsh smelly chemicals, yet it cleans brushes easily. i swear by it. i wash my brushes with turpentine or turpenoid, ivory soap (which also works wonderfully), and then this. use it on perfectly clean brushes to keep the bristles like new, or use it on an old brush to bring it back to life.

I have used this brush cleaner for years... I first discovered it on a recommendation from a friend, and then had to tackle a can full of artist's brushes that had been left wet and allowed to dry for more than a year before I foudn them (they weren't mine but they are now). I got permission to clean them up, and rescued some very nice brushes, some of them hard to find. I highly recommend it for cleaning your brushes!

I LOVE this product, it's all I use most of the time..... cleans my oil brushes wonderfully, without the danger of spilling mineral spirits or turps.... I don't worry about my kids being around it, and it conditions the brushes as well as cleans them.

Great stuff. Willing to pay the extra couple bucks over regular bar soap. It's saved a lot of old brushes for me, and kept my Winsor Newton Series 7 in tip-top shape.
