I have used these markers for years, not just for art, but work, theater and anything and or anything. It's long lasting, strong and works very well with all medium. Comes in a variety of sizes from the broadest fattest tip, to a true fine line for detailing. From mini size, retractable, or the larger than a pencil heavy, thick marker. They have also introduced more colors than just the standard Black, green, navy and red that you have grown used to over the years. Its's a wonderful and inexpensive product that you can get practically anywhere. I believe everyone has at least one.

I use fine point when I have to do large demos on a wall when teaching art and cartooning, and extra fine point for smaller drawing. Good loose line qualities. I'm still looking at how archival they are for pen and ink drawing. I usually use dip pens for cartooning and illustration.

Sharpie Markers are the best - but they are way to expensive for what they are.

I like to use sharpies because they seem to last forever. They come in convenient sizes too like the mini's - I love the mini's.

These markers are fantastic, unfortunately they tend to bleed through paper.. and if your not careful they bleed right onto your nice clean tabletop (or whatever your drawing on).. *try the Bic Mark-its.. they too have a vast arrangement of colors. I find that they also don't bleed quite as much*

it is great that they finally came out with more colors but some of the caps are brighter than the actual color in the marker... but other than that they are great to use

Sharpies are great. Don't use them for finished inks, but when you need to do a quick test on your sketches for black placement??? use em. The reason why you shouldn't use them for finished inks is because the sharpie ink has a red shimmery tint to it. It'll show up when you scan and you'll spend a load of time color correcting.

don't really like the regular and larger sharpies. they bleed too much and they streak when filling large areas.

Sharpies are my life! I get them all the time for Christmas and my birthday. They are easy to control and can still be used for many different projects with many different techniques.

Good versatility and office use, but I've tried to do some drawings, and they do not do as well as other markers made for blending. They streak when I try to fill in black, smell, and bleed too easily. But most of all, they just don't blend together.

I've only used permanent Sharpies and mostly use them for customizing shoes, sketching, art projects, and schoolwork. They definitely won't blend in paper and the smell will make you lightheaded if you use them after a while, but they're wonderful art tools!

Why does this product deserve a rating? Because it's a Sharpie! I'll agree.. they're awesome for making fun attractive signs at work and they're even better for drawing all over shoes. I love my mini Sharpie the most!

I always find that sharpie markers are very reliable. I often use them to sketch people really quick with bold, heavy lines.
