These watercolor pencils can be deceiving. A lot of the time a name says a lot about quality, and i've never had good luck with derwent. Until NOW. These are FANTASTIC. They go on smoothly and the color is brilliant. They all look very similar when not wet, but once you put the water on they really just take the cake.

I love them. i can never just use one brand, for i will miss the opprotunity to see the creative differences. These are so soft and have beautiful colors.

These are such awesome pencils, and definitely better than any of the other watercolor pencils I've tried. They have a nice, soft, smooth look that's great if you don't want the heaviness of pastel pencils or the sometimes scratchy-like texture of regular colored pencils. I adore them and would highly recommend them to anyone from beginner to expert!

I do use this, but mostly just the white, my mother bought me a white one when she couldn't find a white prismacolor pencil, and I've used the white watercolor, -getting the tip wet to paint on top of images- as a highlight sort of tool ever since. I love it. I do have a larger set of 32 as well, they're soft, and work okay, but I had a set of 10 crayola or some off brand i can't remember watercolor pencils that i loved way more, because they blended so easily, I could make any color I wanted with just those ten, these don't seem to blend as nicely.

heck yeah! actually prefer over the P brand because of the thicker lead, bright colors, deep colors... lots of variety and are wonderful for a base background on a cp pic.

Not all watercolour pencils do as they say they do, but these definitely work as they should, very smooth & easy to control the flow of colour when wet, brilliant.

These are really good for the price. They work great for renderings and using as accents when blend with acrylic paints.

They give some nice results , only real complaint about them is the lead is too hard and brittle for my tastes , but overall nice .
