I have used several and own one of these. Before I got this I used a 2 MP Minolta Dimage and had really good outcomes but THIS makes it easy to shoot anything and everything - macro to wideangle...and to change in seconds from one to the other. I use Adobe colors and have had amazing results - just the color I SAW when I looked at the subject. The wealth of features and ease of use have made this one of my favorite tools. I am not a photographer but take pics and use them in my other media. I really enjoy the flexibility of this camera and what it allows me to do as a very amateur photog using photos as a part of my more professional work.

This is a really great camera,I love how the photos come out so clear and vivid. Still, you have to know how to use it. And I must say,the indoor shots aren't so good, but it really depends on the lighting. Overall, its worth every penny.

I love this little P'n S camera. What a great capture device when you can't carry the big gun's! The video is awesome and the picture quality is amazing. Very good consumer level camera.

For a small hand held camera that can do big camera things this is the one to use. I love the live screen for quick shots!

For a non D-SLR this camera is amazing. All the photographs you see in my album were taken with Canon PowerShot S5 IS. All of them in manual mode, but it offers so much more. If you want a great camera, yet cannot afford a D-SLR this is definitely what you want to at least consider.

for a photography student, i used to fail my subject because my pictures are sometimes under exposed or overexposed when i use my analog SLR camera. then i decided to buy a D-SLR for myself.
this camera gave me nice shots and quality pictures that helped me in my projects!- Flag as inappropriate

For what it's supposed to do, it's great. I'm happy with the macro and super macro on this camera. Also like the digital display and the pop out screen.

Was the first Really nice camera I ever purchased, I love it. I love what it can do. I've had it almost a year and still haven't mastered all its widgets! Once I do though, i know I'm going to want an upgrade, Im going for no less than 1,000$ next time! I love it!!
