I first used these in a drawing class and liked them so got my own larger set. Very easy to lay down the color, and blend. The colors are rich and long lasting. I use a spray fix after completing any work.

These are good, and I use them, but I use them often for under layers in conjunction with softer brands.

I never got to use these when I was in class because I went with the cheap pastels and I regretted it almost immediately. The artwork that the other students produced were of such a higher quality due to these pastels and they were easier to work with. A must have if you like to work with pastels. Worth the price for sure.

These have the great color! They did not mute or become worn away when laying. The best pastel I have used. Cheap just does not work for pastels.

I do pastel studies in preparation for paintings. I find the Rembrandt Soft Pastels perfect for this. Soft enough to keep me looser than I normally am. Which allows my study room to transform, rather than just follow a preconceived concept. I have the triple layer big, wooden box set!

When I moved to Miami, it was the only art supply I brought with me from Holland. The quality is superb and the quality in pigments very high. I love it and I am so happy that I can buy it in Miami as well.
