Very good paper. Contains 50% recycled materials. My favorite is the 80 lb. bright white suitable for all dry media, pen & ink and light washes...

I started using Strathmore pads when I was 10 years old and have been using them ever since. I love the size and the paper texture. The spirals are great for laying paper out flat, yet paper doesn't tear off easily like most binders.
Highly recommended.- Flag as inappropriate

This is really good paper, found at most art supply stores, and reasonably priced. I use it for everything except finished projects on bristol or other special paper, and I prefer it to newsprint even.

OK for sketching. If I'm outside sketching, and I don't want people to know I use sketch books that look like black books.

multi purpose sketchbooks are ideal for jumping back and forth between medias or mixed media drawings ... it enables an artist to keep various versions of a project in one place ... the spiral binding is ideal for keeping the pieces together in one neat package ... the strathmore name on the product insures good quality

This is the only sort of sketch paper I use. It takes a variety of medium rather well, including pencil, colored pencil, ink and even marker. Plus recycled makes the paper a bright white.

I have been using these sketchpads since I first started drawing. They're easy to carry around with you, so you can sketch anywhere you wish! The paper within the sketch pads are also very nice, I've found them to be exceptional when it comes to blending pencil.

This is probably one of the fundamental supplies a good artist should try to have on hand. I began sketching on this when I was about 13, when an art teacher I had demonstrated basic drawing techniques. This kind of paper is really good; it doesn't tear very easily and you can use all kinds of pencils, pens, even markers on it.

This has been the paper I always use for sketching. It holds a variety of media well, and pencil sketches don't rub off after time, and stay unsmudged, even after a couple years of keeping it (unless you intentionally smudge it, of course).

Love this stuff! I Take one with me everywhere and my only complaint is that i usually wear it out before i've used it up. These could benefit from a hard-but-flexible plastic front and back cover. Other than that, awesome.
