Description:

A very good quality paint. Make sure you don't buy the student grade paints otherwise you get one of the best paint for the price with these. The prices I wrote are for professional grade 37ml tubes.

very good quality paint. Visit http://www.winsornewton.com/pdfs/The-Oil-Colour-Book_UK.pdf and read some interesting info. for beginners. Doesn't hurt to know.

Great quality paint. I even bought some of the student-grade stuff by accident one time (I need to pay more attention to what I'm doing sometomes...) -- I had no complaints about that either! But the professional paint is definitely well worth the couple extra bucks...

I have been using Winsor & Newton Oils for years. I find the paints consistant in all ways. The color is true, as is the consistancy of the paint. I always know I have quality and no surprizes with W&N paints. Their product makes my product better.

Great oil paint. It's the best I've used. It's always consistent in color and texture
and is always the best value everywhere I buy paint.

The quality and the texture are the best I've played with so far. I love the color saturation and the ease with which I can paint.

Some paint becomes stiff and unmallable with age. But I have Winsor & Newton tubes from the 50's that I actually can plan on still using (with the according 3.50 price tag still on there). Lots of other brands the tube (aluminum?) cracks and breaks leaving a messy new opening. If you buy Winsor & Newton, you can be guaranteed down the road that you'll be using the same lid, the one they made...

This is a very good quality paint. It is very smooth so it is easy to come apply on canvas and wooden surfaces.

I have been using this product for quite a long time. It is all that I use.
I find the consistancy in color tube after tube. Doubt I will change brands at this point.

I use many brands of high quality professional paints. Winsor & Newton has always been one of them. I find the Underpainting White helpful for developing a painting in the early stages and for texture.

This is a great paint for the price. The paint has great flow and rich colours, as well as a good opacity. It also blends well with additives (linseed oil, turpentine, etc.) Additionally, it has a very comfortable drying time- fairly fast but not so fast that you don't have time to work.

I have used Windsor and Newton paints for over 40 years and the paintings I painted then are just as vivid in color as when I painted them. Good availability and good price, easy and dependable to use. A very good mixture of pigment and oil.

The best quality paint on the market. I work with a limited (old masters) pallet of artist grade W&N and mix most of my other colors. Only W&N gives me true mixes - raw umber and orange make the most beautiful deep rich green. This mix in another brand tends to be muddy or tend toward olives rather than the rich wine bottle green that I was shooting for. You can't go wrong with this paint. Student grade is as good as the artist grade!

I always recommend that my students purchase these paints for their introduction to painting class. I personally have used WN oil paints and will continue to use them as I find them superior plus they help me express myself.

The professional grade of Winsor & Newton is what I use for most of my work. It is a very good value for the price. My favorite oil paints are Sennelier, but I reserve these for only small works and ones I am serious about because they are SO expensive.

The higher end paints were recommended by a lot of my teachers- they are good paints and are affordable for students. You get a lot for your money and they last a long time. The student grade ones are good for beginner's but it's worth the extra expense to get the higher quality kind, you'll see the difference in your painting.
