Come on folks, we know that this really does pretty much everything. Stick with the elements.

I use 5.0 when I edit my photos on my computer. I love all the little extra's with it like the framing, collages and so far. Of course, its not anything like Photoshop CS but then not everyone can afford the CS so 5.0 does just as well

This is a great photo product, a lot of the power and freedom the more advanced photoshop programs give you at a price a hobbyist can justify. There are a lot of avenues to both auto fix and creatively manipulate your work. Many extras too.

I used to use Photoshop 7 and then CS came along. Adobe thinks that everyone can just shell out a wad of cash every time they come out with a new product. I have other family members that use CS2 & 3 and they both tell me the same thing, "it's not worth the extra cost". I switched to Elements 5 about six months ago and the only thing I am disappointed with is the frame selection. I usually make all my frames and matting from scratch because the frames don't always fit the format of my images and there is no matting selection. Sometimes cropping an image is not an option. In some ways editing software is like a guitar to a guitar player. You can have the best axe in the world but is won't make you a better player. I can make a $400 guitar scream just as nice as a $3,000 guitar. Unless you are willing to throw away some cash on CS3, Elements 5 is a big bang for the buck.

Elements is really good but it's best for people who are either daunted by Photoshop's overabundance of features and or just want a program specifically for Photographers but don't want to spend the money on Lightroom. It's also an incredibly good program for those new to image editors.

Great tool to learn with, you can do so many interesting things and work your way into the full package program. Very reasonably priced.

Good starter program for people wanting to experience a little of what Photoshop has to offer. Good for editing photos and easy for the user to understand.

This is a Great photo editing software program that I use very often. I also can do some digital art with Photoshop elements with the various brushes and colors that I can use, along with the typical photo editing features.

Not as good as CS2, but decent enough. I use it for quick fix and flyers. I would suggest it for those who are just starting off and those who like to keep it simple

I do not really use this program too much as Photoshop CS3 generally fills my needs. Elements is a good program though which my kids seem to like using, perhaps because it is easy for them and fills their creative needs with digital picture editing.

phenomenal. ive been using various versions of this program for 10 years and i can tell you, adobe has really refined their product into something pretty incredible, and inexpensive! i used to use the full version of Photoshop and now I use Elements - it has every single feature I would need, so don't waste your $$ on the full version unless you're a pro (and try to score the student discount). it's worth taking the time to learn your way around this program so you can get the most out of it, but it's also really valuable for basic things like resizing, cropping and color adjustments.

send me a message if you need a hand using this program - i'm happy to share pointers!

I've been using Elements on my personal computer for a couple of years while using the full version in the computer lab. There are only two tools that I regularly use which Elements lacks: pen and color balance. It has served me well as a cost-effective way to work on my assignments in my room, even if I have to occasionally trek up to the lab.

I found this software relatively easy to edit photos with, and fun! Although, it was slightly limited to the changes I wanted to make with individual colors.

I have found Adobe Photoshop Elements 5 to have everything and more than I usually need. I have used it MAC and PC based. I began with Elements 2 years ago. I love the improved lighting and color controls. It is just great!!!
