I like the integration of Imageready into the CS3 program. As a web designer it makes creating HTML images much easier using less files. It allows me to keep myself more organized.

Industry standard. Works for me! Blazing fast on the new Intel macs. I can't ask for more!

On an intel Mac this program is a MUST have program. I do ALL of my postwork and photography editing on this program and it is the industry standard that ALL other programs are measured by. It has a plethora of plugins to help anyone to do ANYTHING graphicly and it is BLAZINGLY fast on my iMac intel core2Duo and can be used by a beginner to the MOST advanced user and is endlessly expandable. I have used Photoshop since PS3 and now at Photoshop CS3 I am extremely pleased with the progress and the way it has changed. Many believe it is way too bloated for their uses but I do an almost endles ammount of variety with my artwork and it is the most flexible program there is for the graphic artist.. It is compatible with virtually EVERYTHING there is for the artist and that alone makes it worthy of the 5 stars I gave it.. It deserves a 10 but you don't allow that so 5 is the best I can do...

I think CS3 seems to be the natural progression from CS2. I still think CS3 is a bit buggy for the PC but i tend to really push the limits of both CS3 as well as my system so I am sure it is combination of the two that is the issue. I have not upgraded to CS3 on my Mac (mainly because I am not sure if i am going to get an Intel Chipset powerbook yet). I love Photoshop and will continue to do so as long as they keep offering great incentives to upgrade and a solid piece of graphic software.

As it stands right now it is the definitive photo-editing program out there and with the addition of lightroom has just made my workflow so much smoother

I give CS3 four stars. I would have given five, but the new icon a block with letters takes me to preschool

This is probably the best photo-editing software out there. I havn't seen anything to match it yet.

I've tried just about everything and I always keep coming back. The combination of tools available and the integration between them all outshines, and is far more useful, than any other graphics product out there.

With this program you can do anything impossible and make it possible! I have this program and it makes peace with all types of art works and less of the glitches and leaks

My favorite feature of the CS3 is that when I do a panorama and choose to automate it in CS3 it keeps all my separate images as layers and it blends the layers together seamlessly for me. It's amazing and very helpful.

It is amazing. I do everything with this program. I love it. You can't go wrong with CS3.

Have used PS 5.5 and 6.0 for years. Now in a course which requires the CS3, have done a few things but not as comfortable as of yet---overall Photoshop has been the best imaging, manipulative software I have ever used.

this product is 5stars all the way, such improvements from the last photoshop. there are all kinds of rendering, filtering, formats, you name it, this product has it!! great for people starting out with photography, a good starting point. easy to understand and follow! it rocks!!!!

I find the new setup for the panels a little more sensible than before, but there's still no good argument against having two monitors to work with.
Photoshop is pretty invaluable to what I dom as a designer.

I love the panels, it is the single cleanest thing in the improvements. Smart objects are a little confusing at first but prove very useful overall. This is a must have, even if your not a artist, this thing can do anything, even fix your plumbing(Beta)

Photoshop is hands down the best image editing software out there. Adobe lead the pack with this product. It may be a little pricey but you get a lot of bang for your buck. Every time they come out with a new version it just gets better and better. They continue to be the leaders in the industry by which everyone else follows.

Whats to say? The best keeps getting better. Tool bars are much easier to navigate and there is an overall polish to the interface that I love.

The upgrade was a little annoying at first. It was difficult to nail down a good workspace, and the printing was a little buggy with the colors blocking up. I continued to print using CS2 for quite some time. Now that it has been resolved, I love it. The camera raw plug-in is awesome and the redesigned workspace saves a lot of screen real estate (I need to maximize my space since I am working on a 15" MacBook). Overall, I am still having some printing issues, but it remains to be seen if it is my display or the software.

Photoshop remains inbatible over the years. No matter what do the competition Adobe still manages to completely defeat it in each new release and ensure its permanence as standard in the industry. Adobe Phososhop CS3 is a clear demonstration of this.

Their tools are focused on the productivity of each professional, preferably through ease of use and speed without sacrificing professionalism in the results. The native plugins that includes are more than sufficient to achieve almost anything. One thing that stands out on this release is as Adobe achieved optimize the startup time of the program even on computers that do not fulfill the requirement of 1GB of RAM. When I finish "review" and "discover" all the good that has PS CS3 sure that Adobe gives me another surprise.

With Photoshop I tapped into the intuitive imagination I never knew I had. Mysterious characters and scenes came to visit. I have been using Photoshop since Photoshop 2.5 long before it got really popular for photo editing.

The default program for customization and manipulation. No serious artist should be without it.

Simply can't live without it

To put it simply, Adobe knows what they are doing. It's great for touching up pictures or designing graphics. I swear by this program.

I am blessed to work with this suite of products. Fireworks is such a timesaver compared to the former ImageReady. The only drawback is that there are SO many features, I'll be 92 years old before I could possibly use them!

The Adobe Creative Suite series has continued to make my work possible.

This has been the best software for my field than anything else I've tried. You have incredible tools within a point-and-click atmosphere that make it very easy to do just about anything! Photo editing is phenomenal, designing art from scratch is simple, isolating an image you need without its background is a cinch! I would choose this software over any in my collection to get the job DONE.

I tend to use this product daily in my work.

This is a good program for beginners just looking to touch up photos or get rid of red eye... it's also good for artists to scan and manipulate images. I use it mostly to change color levels and brightness levels because I'm not a very good photographer.

I've been using Photoshop since version 3 and I must say, it got better and better with every single version.
Now, with CS3, almost very time I use it I find something new to enhance my workflow(ok, I'm not using it THAT often :) ) I agree that this is a must have for photographers(not limited to) - this is the best tool there is !

While you can do some cool stuff with Photoshop, its just too boring and will never be as cool as painting or drawing.

Despite competition from without (Apple's Aperture and Light-Craft's LightZone, for instance) and even from within (Adobe's own Lightroom), the grand dame of all imaging programs continues to evolve. And once again Adobe has made enough improvements in the latest incarnation of Photoshop to leave you wondering how you ever lived without them.

If you never upgraded from versions 7.0 or CS, Photoshop CS3 is definitely the one to jump on. It's the first update in years to sport significant improvements in the interface. The new edition of Bridge, which comes with it, is action-packed. And, combined with all the improvements to Camera RAW, also included, you're really getting three excellent pieces of software for the price of one.

A few other nice changes: A new Quick Selection tool, when coupled with the new Refine Edge dialogue, lets you make fast selections and preview and adjust them before you commit. The updated Curves dialogue shows you a histogram and lets you use and save presets (some cool ones come loaded with the program). And the rockin' Smart Filters let you apply your favorite filters nondestructively (think of them as the love child of filters and adjustment layers).

I have become very accustomed to the very useful tools and techniques that make this program an essential digital medium for my artistic ventures. I highly recommend that artists give it try and have an open artistic mind when working with it. It can take your work to another level that you may not have thought possible. CB

Photoshop is what I have always been trained on so I know it best. I'm not really an authority on other programs of the kind so I give it four stars.

While there is much to like about Photoshop CS3, I couldn't give it 5 stars because it is one of the buggiest releases of Photoshop I've used with the exception of when I was on the beta list back in the day. Love the 3-D integration. Love the noise on layers and much much more. I find it to be a little unstable and the window management isn't as good as it used to be. I hate having to FFF for every window change. It also "hides" some of the images when you use Apple's Expose feature. In fairness to Adobe, that could be a problem that is at least partly Apple's fault.

That said, it's worth upgrading, and I expect that the quirks will be fixed in relatively short order.

It astounds me how Adobe was able to improve on something that was already such a good thing and make it so much better. CS3 is an amazing achievement of technology and an invaluable tool. A must buy!

Can't go one day without using it, CS3 creates the space I need to creat my art and it can handel all the crazy work, If i got rid of all my applications APCS3 will still be there.

What would the word be like with out Photoshop? It's an appealing tool for the creative and non creative. With out Photoshop we would still be in the dark room but, thanks to Photoshop we can have our very own dark room on the computer. If that was not enough you can draw, paint, automate tasks with actions and really speed up your work flow. I could not go one day with out using it!

I think Photoshop is one of the best programs ever made. Have been using it since version 2.5... With each upgrade it has become easier to use. What I love about Photoshop is that no matter how long you have been using it, you always can discover something else it does that you didn't know about.

The industry standard, however I personally feel the top bar navigation menu needs a complete reorganization.

I've been quite impressed with the power of the tools. I use the healing brush all the time, which in many cases is much superior to the clone tool I've been using with other programs. The levels tool is indispensible in making dramatic differences in shots. In addition, the user base is fantastic with tips and advise practically everywhere you go.

Took a little getting used to at first. Operates a bit differently than previous versions. But overall a MUST have.

Everyday i learn something new in the program. Great for anybody.

Can't imagine my life without it. I love the ability to edit/create video clips.

As a photographer and film editor, this program is indispensable. The layers is what makes ADOBE products so versatile and exciting. It took me many years even after classes to enjoy all the possibilities that this function makes possible. Even the type and pen tools have been perfected that I did not feel I needed Illustrator anymore for what I did. Even titles for movie editing.
I am still learning all the time.
This program if taught or learned properly could keep you busy FOREVER! It has allowed many photographers
Also, for HD video editing, the new program makes my photo editing a breeze.

PHOTOSHOP IS GREAT IT IS ONE OF MY PROGRAMS OF CHOICE. THIS PRODUCT IS EASY TO USE AND CAN DO ALOT OF GREAT THINGS.

I feel that Adobe Photoshop deserves 5 stars because it is such an essential and easy to use tool for designers. I've never had any issues with the program and I have found it really helps me to create what I imagine in my head. Thank you Adobe for yet another great product.

It is really, good, there are a lot of nice improvements, but there are some things, available in previous versions that are not available in this version, my biggest concern is the path tools are not quite as good as previous versions.

CS3 is a absolute must have for the serious and professional graphic designer, web designer or photographer. New filters and features make PhotoShop (once again) the king of image manipulation sofware

Especially with CS3, PhotoShop offers extremely intuitive tools, and an easy interface. Beyond all the application itself offers, I have to say that Adobe has done a smashing job of putting together user-education for it's products. The Adobe Photoshop Classroom in a Book is amazing. The cd contains lessons which, when used along with the textbook, make the learning experience very interactive. Most of us learn best when we get in there and try it out! So, hats off to Adobe on a great product and a firm grasp on the best way to educate users in utilizing that product.

Great program that does so much more than fix photos. Aside from all the standard features there are tons of add ons and plugins. Great for creating art and fine tuing images imported from other programs. Not just for photographers or designers, photoshop offers artists unlimited possibilities.

Had a chance to use CS3 in depth at New Hampshire Instittute of Art this Summer during their AEF Workshop. Had a GREAT instructor and was completely blown away with the program advances, new tools and proceedures now availiable with Photoshop CS3 over earlier versions! WOW! I took back so much good info on the program and hope to get it upgraded in my school.

As a Photoshop user, this tool keeps on getting better and better with each release, good user interface and workareas, great integration with the whole Adobe Creative Suite, standard format outputs and if you can get your hands on the extended version, support for 3D images. Even tho the price is a little bit high, think of it as an investment, not an expense.

They have taken it up a notch with the new CS3. Even more options, better user interface. i love this new addition to the Photoshop family.

Precise photo balancing tools such as Photo Filter, Shadows and Highlights and Exposure controls.

I love this product! When shooting hard and fast to capture moving wildlife, there are times that the shadows can be in the way. Having the option to lighten these areas is so valuable! I have not taken a class in photoshop but find it is pretty friendly to use just the same!

I am a staunch supporter of Adobe products, PS, Illustrator, Acrobat, Indesign, After Effects etc. The only reason I give the CS3 version only four stars, is that if you already have an older version of Photoshop, you are not missing much with the CS3 version. It is still pretty much the exact same soft ware, in a prettier package! But of course you get lured in, with the whole suite package. And I will say, that the PS software, and files you create intergrates easier into the rest of the family of prograns. If you are new to PS and the suite, you will be in for a treat, especially with Illustrator, they have made some really significant improvements there! Easier to use tools, and more importanly, easier to see anchor point handles. I think so many people complained about going blind searching for them, that Adobe finally listened up and made the necessary adjustments, to make it easier.
Over all a great software package to own, you can play with it for years and never exhaust the creative possibilities it can provide!

I start Using Photoshop 3 in late 1996, Since then I am Updating Myself and My Students, with the latest Versions. Adobe Photoshop is a Class Itself, I wonder How could some one Do Image Editing WIthout It.

I recently finished working with the Adobe team on CS4 and it will be worth every penny of the upgrade. CS3 is a great creative tool and puts powerful creativity in the hands of the artist.

Absolutely this is the best Image correction and coloring tool I used to.

Its Just amazing! If I can dream it it can be done here on CS3. The interface is amazinge the GUI was well thought out and it is one of the most people friendly programs out there.

I absolutely love this software! I use it for a large portion of the artwork that I produce, from line drawing to animation. It is very simple, strait forward, and set up for any skill level to be able to use as soon as it is on your computer!

I use this in my design work, and its great because I can do photo retouching with it. Its a must have. The possibilities are endless.

Excellent software. Easy to use, powerful and it can do just about anything you want it to, as long as you have even a basic knowledge of the program! I even prefer this over CS4.

I love this product. I started out with Photoshop 10 and got this last year. I use it regularly with my images for touch up jobs and for the filtering affects. It is amazing what you can do with this. I would be lost with out it.

Photoshop is the standard for image manipulation. I started with Elements V.5, and moved up to CS3. I now have CS4, WOW!

This software works for me. I design a lot of posters so I use this the most. It gets better with every new issue.

freedom to do anything, and creative tools

This is one of my programs that is always open! As a graphic and web designer by trade, I would consider this my left arm (I am left handed of course!).

I'm learning how to use this program as part of my Associate's degree program, and I knew after the first day that this is a program I will not be able to live without. Kid in a candy store.

Photoshop has been on top of the game since they hit the market. This version is no different. It's a bit pricey, but for what you get, you really can't beat it. If you are not into all of the buttons and extra gadgets and what not, you might be better off trying out GIMP. It's a free image editing program and has 80% of Photoshops functionality. If you know what that extra 20% is that GIMP is missing though, then you need this product as you know the benifits of having said 20%. Buy it only if you are serious about your art.

So far this is one of my fav bits of software to use... Has everything I want if im using the program..... Love it!!!

wOw! is an understatement. I am SO new to this, but am willing to learn anything, and so far I'm amazed. But where's CS4 in the Tools? I'm on CS4 not CS3. Only thing, is that Photoshop is a beast... a RAM-hog, but I can't complain since I chose to only get 2gb of RAM on my MacBook. *sigh* Oh well, live and learn.

After MS Paint, I started using Photoshop. This was back in the 90's, and Photoshop didn't even have layers. Today, thanks to the ever-growing community of font, brush, pattern, and shape makers, Photoshop is the quintessential, indispensable tool. From the housewife wanting to touch up those photos before uploading them on her online photo blog, or the graphic design professional working on whatever the hell graphic design professionals work on, Photoshop has made our world a much better and more visually pleasing place.

They completely overhauled the interface and added a lot of new features. All of them good. This is the best version of the software so far.

I've worked with Photoshop since version 3.0.5. I won't brag to be fluent but as much as I do know, I'm always amazed to see what new features make possible that I hadn't considered before.
