This is a nice india ink pen that does not require continous dipping. Why india ink? Certian tyes, ex. this one, have water proof ink that allows you to water color over pen drawings which I think is a great technique. Why this pen? You can select from wide variety of point sizes for varying detail, and you can't beat the price. The ink sets very quickly so it easy to not have smudge issues.
I have found no need for upgrading to a more expensive pen with more longevity at this time. Why 4 out of five? The pen does bleed a bit if left stationary and there is not a good extreme fine point version.; those are my only complaints.- Flag as inappropriate

This is a great substitute pen for the old school messy Rapidograph pens. It works great for touching up films seps because its opaque, doesn't bleed, dries quickly. Great pen.

One of the best pens on the market for either doodling or even touch up on work. Comes in various colors but you'll at least need the black one.

These pens are great!!! finally a waterproof pen that comes in fine, med and brush tips. Great for the sketch book. I love these pens

I love these pens. I love how the black pens outline and how the colors cover and overlap without blobing or skipping. I think the ink comes out like a rapidagraph and is nice and even, and doesnt soak through. It doesnt smear . The best I have used in years.

These work well for body art, great for fine detailing and they don't run or smudge or for that matter come off!
