If you have a Nikon DSLR this software is a must if you shoot in RAW. I've had images that were completely black or white and I've recovered them to the point where you could never tell they were edited. I don't have Photoshop because the only after shot editing is exposure & color control. I you are the same way and don't want to buy photoshop for simple editing I suggest downloading Gimp. Some people say that you can do the same things with Photoshop that Capture NX has but what they don't know is that Nikon has data built into the cameras that photoshop doesn't have in their pogram but Capture NX does since it was developed by the same people. I'd say using photoshop for Nikons is the same as using a Sigma lens with a Nikon camera, you just don't get the best quality possible.
