This is an excellent guide to color and how it interacts and reacts to its surroundings. I used it to teach a color course and the results were spectacular. The student learned to analyze and interpret color.

Interaction of color is informative without being overly dry and technical. I enjoyed the text.

Revisions have taken place to improve the book, and the color plates may not be perfect (compared to the original that is nearly impossible to come by) but highly informative and should be a part of any artist library.

This was one of my textbooks in a color theory class I had in college. We also used a Color-Aide Kit that consisted of hundreds of very high quality sheets of colored paper that we used for projects based on ideas in the book. Very interesting.

This is a wonderful book for anyone who is interested in learning about colour theory. It is very descriptive and has very useful illustrations that help in understanding the literature. It is also an interesting read that has done well in not being a dull "how-to" manual.

I found this book to be a great tool in teaching and understanding color theory. There are great visual examples of how we perceive color based on interaction with other colors.
