Holy moley: I'm not normally a pastel kinda girl, but these are incredible. I let one of my students in my drawing class try them out and she calls them the "wonderful butter sticks" and really, there is no better description. Forget everything you know about cheap, mass-fab pastels; these are loaded with pigment and they just melt wonderfully into the paper when you draw. You can't believe how rich the colors are and how little you really need to get some incredible effects (which makes the high price worth it).

I really think that if you draw, you owe it to yourself to at least buy one of these pastels to experiment with. Again, I'm not normally a fan of pastels. But these are a whole other world.
