| Description: | This is the chalk that bridges the gap between soft and hard pastels. It has the sharp edge of a hard pastel and the soft texture used for sketching and details. The traditional square French pastel has been compressed for greater pigment content. Excellent for portraits, landscapes, or still life. Each square 2-1/8” x 5/16” stick has been compressed for greater strength but retain chalk’s soft properties. AP certified non-toxic. |

They're simply wonderful, they blend very easily to make all sorts of colors, smooth, just so easy to work with. Everything I do with them seems to come out very nicely in the end, you can even sort of erase with them, so mistakes are easy fix. I've had them for 10 years and love them still.

This is a great chalk and experimented with it some even tried it in buttermilk for a neat textural effect. Good product and held up really well.
