I've had this camera two years, and I'm still figuring out what all it can do. As an amateur photographer, I needed a camera that I could learn to operate and could deliver a professional photo, and I'm quite pleased with the XTi. The controls are easy to use and laid out in a logical manner, so it's easy to quickly adjust settings to whatever is happening in front of me. It does tend to go through the battery quickly, so the recommended spare battery is definitely needed for the longer shoots. Overall, lower-end professional quality for an amateur's needs and budget.

I have had my EOS Rebel XTI digital for two years and I really like the qualit pic that I am getting. It is a great amateur camera. I'm still learning the various functions, but this is a great camera for the price, especially if you are starting out. My photography professor recommended this camera and I am very pleased. It is a good idea to invest in a better lens than the kit lens and other accessories as well if you intend to use this camera to its fullest potential.

I got my XTI for Christmas almost 2 years ago and am finally spending the time needed to learn how to use it. I'm pleased with the results of my photos, especially since learning how to use more manual settings.

This camera is a workhorse and produces quality, tight, in focus, photography that is jaw dropping. I've had mine since it came out and I wouldn't trade it (except for an upgraded Canon). Indispensable!
