I have used all types of erasers from the traditional pink to motorized and a kneaded is best way to. I have used a kneaded eraser on canvases, wood, and all types of paper. It never ripped or marked the paper. As far a brand is concerned "Design" seems to be the most accesable, so I have really tried no other. For all you erasing needs get a "Design" kneeded eraser.

Love these erasers!!!!!!! When sketching with pencil and charcoal they are all I use. One can break off small pieces for detailed areas and if one pushes the eraser on top of a mistake and then removes it the eraser picks up the markings for quicker cleaner erasing, and you just knead it and it becomes clean again.

Ok here we have maybe the best tool for charcoal drawings. It can be used for erasing, smudging and drawing on prepared paper or even on your drawing. Stretch it, play with it, which is fun and good to clean off the charcoal on your hands, and shape it again to erase fine lines or broad parts. Make patterns with it using it like a rubber seal... possibilities are endless and a MUST have for any artist.

Simply put...the best eraser available for graphite/ebony/charcoal illustration. The best thing about the eraser is the fact that it can self-clean by breaking it apart and kneading it back together. The greatest use is the ability to shape it to erase virtually any object for detail or highlight work. It also works extremely well for creating textures or lighting dark spots on shadows.

this is a great item. The infinite sculptable eraser. It sucks up myriad mediums, and is great for charcoal, graphite, chalk pastels, any subtractive work at all. ANd so long as you have warm hands, it will last for years! you just mush it around enough and it is self-cleaning. Shape it however you want to get excellent control... and if you're out of ideas, it makes a great impromptu sculpture medium!
