i like a variety of brushes in all sizes ... i always keep old brushes that have lost their shape for painting unusual textures ... old makeup brushes are also good for this purpose

I agree the more variety of brushes the better. I prefer to use makeup brushes for added detail.

Just like toilet paper, you can't go cheap on paint brushes....
