You can never go wrong with Sculpey. Always pliable and easy to harden, this works for any 3-Dimensional project idea you have.

I love super sculpey! Although it takes a a bit to understand it if you are used to using harder plastilinas, but once you do it is very easy!

Great quality for the price. If you're not sure this is the product for you, buy the 1 pound version for between $5-8. I can't think of a good reason not to enjoy this product, though. It's mess free, generally chip resistant, doesn't get stuck on skin, in finger nails, or hair or furniture, and it bakes in an apparatus either immediately available (oven at 250 deg.), or easily affordable (toaster oven, $20-30). I like firing up my toaster oven and baking my creations about 5-10 minutes longer than recommended for a sort of orange-brown marble effect. I personally prefer baking (and re-baking, yes it can do that) in the toaster oven, because if a timer is set, once it goes off so does the heating element in the unit. Most ovens will keep a constant temperature until you turn them off. If I forget or am too busy, I end up with blackened figure, no good.
Oh, if you do buy the 8lb-er, treat it like a spider and put it in a cool slightly damp place. Otherwise it will partially bake in hot weather and become hard to work with or mold later, another reason I might buy the smaller versions a bit at a time.

I've used the smaller box; the ability to re-bake if someone accidently knocks the head off the dino you made is a great feature.

I can tell you with no hesitation that Super Sculpey changed my life. It tends to be a bit soft for detail sculptors, but that can easily be solved by a little fridge time. I'm a big fan of the translucent quality, something that pains me to paint over when finishing a work. I have had some problems with cracking, but if you have a good armature underneath, a little cracking isn't going to hurt. The only problem with buying it in bulk like this is that if you purchase it from the store, it may have been sitting there a long while and gotten a little tougher to work with. Purchasing it online is expensive for shipping, but worth it in my mind for newer, more malleable material.
