These pieces are from a series entitled Motions, a body of jewelry that focuses on movement, sound, and change. Each piece can be appreciated as a sculptural object on its own, but the wearer makes it come alive by walking, going up stairs, or simply getting ready to go out. In a sense, they become an integral part of the piece because of this interaction. Using unsoldered wires to create movement means that the piece will look, feel, and sound different each time it is worn. This constant variation allows for a sense of excitement, joy, and playfulness, reminding the wearer that they are contributing to the successfulness of the work.
