What is the one thing you wish someone had told you at the beginning of your art career? I wish someone had told me about the business side of being an artist. I wanted to make art since I was young and saw being an artist as my life rather than as a career. I feel I am just beginning to learn the tools to market my art and myself.

What are you currently work on and where can we find your work next? I’ve begun a new sculpture work about the degradation of the oceans. It is another project using the plastic 6-pack rings that will also become part of a second multi-media installation collaboration with Maggie Dubris, a recent 2010 NYFA grantee. This work will be shown in the spring of 2011. I am also in a group show that opens February 10th, called “Nurturing Nature” at the Osilas Gallery at Concordia College.
