Slow Art: Stunning Pencil Sculptures Take Years to Complete

Brazilian born, Connecticut based carpenter and artist Dalton Ghetti sculpts pencil tips into tiny works of art. Pieces usually take months to complete, some as long as two and a half years. Even so Ghetti says he has never sold his work and calls it a hobby. “When I tell people how long it takes, that’s when they don’t believe it. That’s what amazes people more, the patience. Because everything nowadays has to be fast, fast, fast,” he says.
