About Me
I use installation as my medium for expressing the value of the human experience. Materials are carefully chosen, gathered, and processed, all of which give additional meaning to the work. I draw on the autobiographical experiences of being woman, mother, wife, sister, and daughter to create metaphorical environments about the space of home and the rhythms of daily living. The learning and progression that are possible within one’s lifetime is also a recurring theme in my work. My gatherings, processes, and the contemplative spaces I create are intended to assist not only myself but also others in defining relationships and place. I have exhibited my work throughout Utah, and in Arizona and Nanjing, China. I married Jerry Bowman in 1977 and together we have raised three sons. We currently reside in Provo, Utah.
