About Me

Grew up in Elkhart, IN. When I wasn't playing sports, I was drawing. Slowly my passion became art... But no-one held my hand along the way.. nothing was handed to me. I took the initiative to give myself opportunities by entering contests, and applying for internships. In college, much like the Great Micheal Jordan, I was refused into the graphic design department 3 times, before being accepted. (re-created my portfolio every time..sucks) This was discouraging. But I took every outlet possible to build my portfolio and gain experience. Along the way I... Created my own clothing company: Nolij Clothing, had 2 internships, created a sign/graphics company: 4wardesign, had many successful freelance jobs: kyleobriendesign & won various design competitions. So I found myself being accepted into the program the beginning of my junior year.. I took all the design classes possible and combined the information with what I had explored individually. This got me here today. I graduated last fall and landed this job at Morris Innovative Research, as the creative director.
