About Me
If you don't have an artbistro page but would like to contact me you can email me at jenkaplan@yahoo.com. I have been doing art since before I could talk. That is no joke. About six years back I got bored with what we were always doing in art class and decided to buy a canvas and an easel. I found some old paint that was laying around my house (it was literally 30 year old tubes of watercolor paint that my mother had bought in high school) and started painting. Then I ran out of paint half way through. Then I went to the art store and wanted to buy watercolor tubes but they were so expensive that I bought acrylic. I noticed it wasn't as sticky and was easy to paint with. That painting is still hanging in my house to day and has gotten cracks in it from the fact it is watercolor on canvas (that is not a good idea). I have been painting ever since with acyclic on canvas, although I have been known to paint on cut up boxes because boxes you can get for free. I have done work for the bands Woodward, Morningwood, Luke Paquin of Hot Hot Heat, New Found Glory, George Kinney's Texas Medicine, Steel Train, The Hush Sound, Unwritten Law, The Promise Hero, Forever The Sickest Kids, The Morning Light, Exit Cleveland, Langhorne Slim, Against Me, Deer Tick, and many others all while still in high school. Also if you see anything that you like on here message me and if I still have it I will sell it to you. I believe art should be inexpensive. If you want me to do commissions I will do them also.
