About Me
I was born in Mexico City into a Mexican-American family. At a very young age, I immigrated with my parents to the United States so my father could pursue his doctorate. Growing up in a scholarly household, headed by my parents with substantial science backgrounds, I was implored to pursue my own degree at a university level. It wasn’t until entering Ohio State that I discovered my passion for the arts. Influenced by the cultural diversity in my own family and the university community, I became compelled by art, its theory and history. To the trepidation of my parents I elected to earn a degree in Fine Art, culminating in a body of work experimenting with the potential for glass as “Art”. Currently I reside in the San Francisco Bay area, where I am working on my next body of work and refining my philosophies about art.

    Oh how neat! :) You know, I think Michigan is the one place in the world where global warming does not exist! :P It's really quite cold here and most the leaves are already fallen off the trees. There's frost every morning and it's practically unbearable to be out past 6 pm .... unless you're wearing a parka! ;) But, it really is wonderful. :)

Books I recommend: Air Guitar by Hickey, The Making and Meaning of Art by Adams and King, Art on the Edge and Over by Weintraub, Theories of Modern Art by Chipp, Conceptual Art by Godfrey, Transgressions and Offenses of Art by Julius and Postmodern Currents by Lovejoy to name a few. An Art of Our Own by Lipsey is also good as well as The Norton Anthology of Poetry. There's so many.......L
