Personal

About Me: Some paintings involve rural and urban icons that have since disappeared or are in danger of destruction. I often complete landscapes on site, most of my figure painting is from life. Some paintings reflect a looser style, others are tighter, and elements of geometry and abstraction enter some pieces. I work in other mediums including illustration, drawing and printmaking. The term “broken color” often refers to the mixing of color. The effect of mixing two or more colors is duller and less brilliant than that of a single pigment. Although I often mix colors, I refer to the term broken color in the way I use glazes and individual paint strokes in my work. I often use Broken Color as a title for my art shows. I have been widely exhibited in California, including juried group and one man shows. Favorite TV Shows:: I sometimes use it for background noise. Just kidding. How about the Dick van Dyke Show
Favorite Music:: I like all types of music except most rap and disco.
