- Artist statement:
nom de plume: Rabbit. Unfortunately, I am interested in everything. I like to try every medium, and every technique at least once. I am excited by the possibilities that arise by experimenting with combinations of mediums, and alteration and cropping. For me, Art is the process multiplied by the product.
I take my inspiration from hormones and dreams and occasionally visceral urges to make things. I love art when it is achingly beautiful, or beautifully sad. I try to spend a few hours of my waking life, making something every day... but some days the muse just isn't with me. Then, i spend my time hanging out on ETSY. I have a shop there, where i sell my "crafty" items. ( http://Sanguinaria.etsy.com ) you should go check it out- even if you don't care for my shop, Etsy is a wonderful thing.
I love how misrepresented &/or abstracted the ambiguous or unfocused areas in photography can become by the nature of the process of attempted representation and selective focus. And so here are some of those, and some pleasing cropping, compositions, and found sights. Some images have also been taken several steps further and away from the original subjects, by digital and manual color and value manipulation. ;)

You should do a short article for AB on creative commons attribution; it might ease a few minds and promote more display of better work. PS fantastic photographs - particularly, in "the glorious life of plants" album; you are unique eye.
