It is true that anyone can build a website with code, but not everyone has the artistic talent. websites that are designed by those with both knowledge are more pleasing to the eye. In most cases if you were to ask a professional website coder to design or draw something they wouldn't be able to do it unless they are artists. in our days anyone can go in to various websites and copy code with out having to memorize it.

Yes, it's expected to grow. But the article fails to mention that all graphic designers must have a duel brain. Know heavy coding for websites and fill them with design and content.
