Seriously Bad Web Design Clients

Polish Sausages and Easter Eggs

The first website I ever designed back in ’99 was for my friend’s parent’s Polish sausage market. (Glamorous I know).

Part of the job was to come in and photograph the full line of sausages to post on the site. As I was doing it, his drunken Dad kept insisting on placing Easter eggs next to the merchandise, even though it wasn’t Easter time.

I tried explaining that it wouldn’t make sense having these photos on the site all year, but he would have none of it. His alcohol-induced feedback led to other design direction as well, which resulted in the site being so ridiculous I couldn’t show anyone.
